LizACTS

LizACTS, or Liz Claiborne Associates Committed to Service, is a company-wide volunteering program that allows our associates to work collectively to respond to community needs. Through this program, thousands of associates and executives join together, along with their families and friends, to contribute their time and talents each year. Our volunteers have spent the day as camp counselors at New York’s Fresh Air Fund and Los Angeles’ Camp Harmony; they have prepared meals for individuals in need at God’s Love We Deliver and Hoboken Shelter; they have cleaned up our shorelines and parks; and have walked countless miles to raise funds for AIDS organizations and cancer research, among other activities.

LizACTS is designed to ensure that associates have a variety of opportunities throughout the year to get involved with community, from being a LizACTS Leader and helping coordinate events to volunteering for a certain activity:
  • LizACTS Leaders take an active role in developing and coordinating volunteer projects in partnership with organizations to address pressing needs in the community. The LizACTS Leader role fosters leadership development and provides direct involvement in issues that are important to our associates.
  • LizACTS “Work Day” activities allow associates the flexibility to participate in hands-on volunteer events planned during the work week, enabling associates to develop relationships with the community as well as colleagues across the company. In addition, LizACTS offers unique “virtual” fundraising and education campaigns to fulfill associates’ interest in volunteering while they are at the office.
  • LizACTS “On the Job” is a way for managers to bring their teams together as a group to participate in customized community service activities that assist our local communities. Our teams have spent many hours at nonprofits addressing the needs of women, youth, homeless individuals, and the environment.
